I really like the Kindle Paperwhite. It's light, easy on the eyes, and can hold a ton of books. It's easier on the eyes than the regular Kindle in my opinion because of the "paper white" background.

If you buy either from Amazon.com, then you will only have access to books through Amazon.com, but you can also find deals such as those from Bookbub.
I don't think you can lose either way if ordering from Japan, because while the U.S. versions are cheaper, the shipping more or less makes the costs even.

However, all of those services and network programs are limited to their home countries. If you try to view them outside of those countries, you will usually get a message such as, "This video is not available in your country."
Getflix is a way to get around those limitations. It is fast, convenient, and works for many countries, and can be used with most devices (PCs, tablet/smartphones (only with Wi-Fi), game consoles such as the PS4 and Xbox, etc.). It is also better than a local virtual private network (VPN) because it has servers all around the globe, so that if you have a fast connection, you will have fast access to the videos you watch. I have been using it with a 360Mbps optical fiber connection, and I might get a few seconds of blurry video, but after that everything is crystal clear.
The Getflix rates are every reasonable (US$3.95/month, US$33.18/year, US$56.88/two years with other rates in between), and with a subscription you will also have access to Getflix VPN if you want to surf anonymously.

Indian summer refers to a specific weather phenomenon. Indian Summer is a period of time in autumn when the days are warm, the nights are chilly and the atmosphere is dry, following the first cold snap.

Right as rain is a latecomer to this illustrious collection of curious similes. It may have first appeared at the very end of the nineteenth century, but the first example I can find is from Max Beerbohm’s book Yet Again of 1909: “He looked, as himself would undoubtedly have said, ‘fit as a fiddle,’ or ‘right as rain.’ His cheeks were rosy, his eyes sparkling”. Since then it has almost completely taken over from the others. It makes no more sense than the variants it has usurped and is clearly just a play on words (though perhaps there’s a lurking idea that rain often comes straight down, in a right line, to use the old sense). But the alliteration was undoubtedly why it was created and has helped its survival.
