Wiktionaryによると、ボウルに入っているサクランボの中から一番いいものだけを自分のために選ぶ、または、ケーキ等のお菓子のサクランボを自分のために取ることからくる隠喩。Online Etymology Dictionaryによると、初めて使われたのが、1959年のBillboard誌。
