意味：
英辞郎によると、

大［大量・集団］虐殺◆国民・人種・政治的集団に対する大量虐殺を意味する名詞で、第2次大戦中のナチスによるユダヤ人虐殺や、クメール・ルージュによる民族虐殺などについて使われる。

Genocideは、ただの大虐殺ではなく、特定の民族・国民・人種等を対象としているところがところが肝心です。
